Problem:

Fluorescent glow stick liquid on fabric

What to use:

Uniodised salt, bucket, freezer

How to apply:

Soak the item in 1 cup of uniodised salt to a 4 litre bucket of cold water. Soak for 20 minutes. Then place in the freezer until frozen. Remove and wash according to the fabric.

Problem:

Liquid marker on hard surface or fabric

What to use:

Methylated spirits, cotton ball; or white spirits, cotton ball, talcum powder

How to apply:

The solvent is either methylated spirits or white spirits. Test which to use by wiping with both solvents separately on a cotton bud. If marker colour comes away, that’s the solvent. Wipe the solvent in circles using a cotton ball. You may need to use several cotton balls. Sprinkle with talcum powder. When dry, wipe with a damp cloth or wash according to the fabric.
